To seek approval to adopt revised selective
licensing conditions following a recent Court of Appeal case.
To seek approval to formally set the other fees associated with the
selective licensing scheme which were included in the proposal to
declare a selective licensing designation and approved to go out to
public consultation but were not formally set in the 8th March 2018
report to Cabinet .

provisions of the Housing Act 2004 and associated

fees are set for Mandatory HMO licensing for accredited and
non-accredited landlords.

Accredited landlord renewal fee £565, comprising part 1 fee
£400 and part 2 fee £165
Non-accredited landlordtotal fee £740, comprising part 1 fee
£565 and part 2 fee £175
Non-accredited landlord renewal fee £660, comprising part 1
fee £485 and part 2 fee £175 .
It is recommended that the Mandatory HMO Licensing amenity
standards attached to Appendices A, B, and C of this report are
adopted by the Council.
It recommended to adopt the current HMO licensing conditions in
Appendix D to this report.

To seek approval as to whether to waiver or
recover a Local Land Charge registered against a property where the
occupant was in receipt of a Disabled Facilities Grant from the
Council.
