To seek approval as to whether to waiver or recover a Local Land Charge registered against a property where the occupant was in receipt of a Disabled Facilities Grant from the Council.

It is to recommend that the circumstances of the case satisfy the council’s Disabled Facilities Grant Conditions and the local land charge of £2,092 registered against the property should not be recovered.

To follow the Disabled Facility Grant Conditions and to ensure the health and wellbeing of vulnerable resident and service user.

The Portfolio Holder could decide to reduce the Local Land Charge or reject the request to waiver the local land charge recovery. However this is not recommended, as the request to waiver the full amount of the local land charge satisfies the grant conditions adopted by the council.
