It is proposed that approval is given to extend the provision of a temporary market at Eagle Square, Arnold. The proposal is intended to provide the opportunity for the Council to undertake a full review of market provision in the town centre and to undertake more thorough formal consultation with market traders, local businesses and other stakeholders about the permanent location of the market.

1.Subject to all necessary consents and permissions being obtained, approval is given to extend the temporary arrangement for Arnold Town Market to be held at Eagle Square, Arnold until 31st January 2023 whilst a full review is undertaken for the future location of the market.
2.Approval is given to commence a consultation with market stall holders, businesses surrounding Eagle Square and Arnold Market Place as well as other stakeholders regarding the permanent location of Arnold Market.

To give permission for WAG to organise a firework display at Muirfield Recreation Ground on Friday 4th November between 5:30pm to 8:30pm (fireworks to start at 7:30pm)

That WAG be allowed to run their event at Muirfield Recreation Ground on the above dates and times. Estimated attendance up to 500. WAG have liaised with the Firework company to ensure the reduction of the decibels of the fireworks and will market the event widely within the area ensuring residents have prior knowledge of the event.
This decision is dependent on correct insurance and the issue of a user licence agreement indemnifying Gedling Borough Council in the event of accident for any activities held on the park. WAG will have also consulted the Nottinghamshire Safety Advisory Group to assist with an event management plan having full regard for health & safety at the event. The management plan will be approved prior to the event.

To give permission for Notts Orienteering Club to run their orienteering event at Burntstump Country Park on 10th December 2022, from 10:30am until 12:30pm.

That the Orienteering event be allowed to go ahead at Burntstump Country Park as outlined on the above date and times. Attendance, est. 20 participants
This decision is dependent on correct insurance and the issue of a user licence agreement indemnifying Gedling Borough Council in the event of accidents for any activities held on the park.

To give permission for Killisick Children’s Centre to hold their play session at Killisick Recreation Ground 19th October 2022 from 9:30am until 11:00am.

That Killisick Children’s Centre be allowed to go ahead with their play session as outlined on the above date and times. Attendance, est. 30 people.
This decision is dependent on correct insurance and event risk assessment and will require the issue of a lease indemnifying Gedling Borough Council in the event of accident for any activities held on the recreation ground and to ensure the land is reinstated should any damage occur whilst accessing and exiting the site.

To give permission for DGB Mobility Ltd (trading as Ottr) to promote their Ebikes at Gedling Country Park on Saturdays and Sundays during October 2022 from 10:30am until 15:00pm.

That Ottr be allowed to go ahead with the Sales promotion of Ebikes at Gedling Country Park as outlined on the above date and time.
This decision is dependent on the applicant providing public liability insurance to the Council and the issue of a user licence agreement indemnifying Gedling Borough Council in the event of accident for any activities held on the recreation ground and to ensure the land is reinstated should any damage occur whilst accessing and exiting the site.
