To give permission for the Woodthorpe Infants School PTA to organise an Easter Bunny Trail at Arno Vale Recreation Ground between 27th March and 11th April.

That the PTA group be allowed to run their Easter Bunny Trail at Arno Vale Recreation Ground between the above dates. Estimated attendance up to 300 over the course of the licence period.
This decision is dependent on correct insurance, risk assessment and the issue of a user licence agreement indemnifying Gedling Borough Council in the event of accident for any activities held on the park.

24/07/2020 - Pavement Licenses under the Business and Planning Act 2020 ref: 1168    Recommendations Approved

The purpose of this report is to:
1. To update the Chief Executive on the statutory obligations of local authorities under the Business and Planning Act 2020 in relation to the issuing of pavement licences.
2. To seek approval of appropriate delegations and fees in relation to pavement licensing.

THAT the Chief Executive in consultation with the Mayor:
1) Notes the contents of this report and the statutory obligations of Local Authorities under the Business and Planning Act 2020.
2) Delegates authority to the Director of Community Health and Wellbeing to exercise all functions under Part 1 of the Business and Planning Act 2020.
3) Agrees that pavement licence applications will not attract an application fee.
4) Submits a report for consideration at the next meeting of Council proposing the delegation of pavement licensing functions to the Environment and Licensing Committee.

The report details a revised set of Fees and Charges for Public Protection, and seeks approval for their introduction from 1st April 2021.

15/03/2021 - Warren Action Group (WAG) Free Fireworks Display ref: 1143    Recommendations Approved

To give permission for WAG to organise a firework display at Muirfield Recreation Ground on Friday 5th November between 5:30pm to 8:30pm (fireworks to start at 7:30pm)

That WAG be allowed to run their event at Muirfield Recreation Ground on the above dates and times. Estimated attendance up to 500.
This decision is dependent on correct insurance and the issue of a user licence agreement indemnifying Gedling Borough Council in the event of accident for any activities held on the park. WAG will have also consulted the Nottinghamshire Safety Advisory Group to assist with an event management plan having full regard for health & safety at the event. The management plan will be approved prior to the event.
