Reverend Michael Taylor, Mayor’s Chaplain, delivered the opening prayer.

Apologies for absence were received from Councillors Ainley, Blair, Boot, Brooks, Fox, Glover, Payne, Pepper, Pulk and Nicholson.

Councillors Bailey and Hewson joined the meeting.

To Confer the Title of Honourary Alderman of the Borough of Gedling on Gordon Tunnicliffe.

To move that, in pursuance of Section 249 of the Local Government Act 1972, the most honourable distinction and title of Honorary Alderman of the Borough of Gedling be conferred upon Gordon Tunnicliffe in recognition of his eminent service to the Borough Council over a long period of years and as an expression of the high esteem in which he is held by members of the Council and his fellow citizens and that the Council do hereby confer upon Gordon Tunnicliffe the title of Honorary Alderman of the Borough of Gedling accordingly.

RESOLVED:
