As we near the winter months, it becomes increasingly difficult to ride at the Burton Road Jubilee Skatepark due to the shorter days. It is almost impossible to ride safely in the dark, therefore many users are unable to ride there during the week due to school or work, which is extremely frustrating. For many people, the skatepark is also a major source of exercise, which means it is harder to get exercise as we near the darker days. Installing lighting around the skatepark would not only allow people to use it more often during the winter months, but it would also make the skatepark a much safer environment for all users.
