The purpose of this report is to seek approval for the proposed Additional Restrictions Business Grant awards to eligible businesses that provide key benefits to the broader economy, as determined in accordance with the Gedling Borough Council Local Restrictions Business Support Scheme.

Decision:

1) To approve the proposed list of Additional Restrictions Grant awards to eligible businesses which provide key benefits to the broader Gedling economy as determined in accordance with the Local Restrictions Business Support Scheme, and detailed in Appendix 2.

2) To approved the proposed list of rejected businesses that have not demonstrated financial hardship in accordance with the requirements of the Additional Restrictions Grant criteria in the Local Business Support Scheme, as detailed in Appendix 3.

17/05/2021 - Local Restrictions Support Grant for Business - Additional Restrictions Grant Top-Up Awards ref: 1184    Recommendations Approved

To seek approval for the additional top-up Additional Restrictions Grant amounts to be set by business type for payment in accordance with the criteria approved in the Council’s approved Local Restrictions Business Support Scheme.

To give permission for Kya Safari to hold a child’s 2nd Birthday party on Burton Road Jubilee Park on 19th June 2021 between the hours of 1pm and 6pm

That Kya Safari be allowed to hold the child’s 2nd Birthday party at Burton Road Jubilee Park on the above date and time. Estimated attendance up to 20. To include the use of a Bouncy Castle.
This decision is dependent on the Council receiving and assessing the Health and Safety information required for the hire of the Bouncy Castle, which includes the hirer providing the correct insurance, risk assessment and safety and inspection certificates of the Bouncy Castle. In addition the decision is dependent on the issue of a user licence agreement indemnifying Gedling Borough Council in the event of accident for any activities held on the park

09/05/2021 - Arnold Market Place Redevelopment Phase 3 Delivery ref: 1186    Recommendations Approved

To seek approval, in accordance with the Council’s Financial Regulations, for an addition to the Arnold Market Redevelopment capital budget to enable the implementation of the approved scheme to secure the delivery of the agreed project outcomes.

1)    Approves by virement the establishment of an addition to the Arnold Market Redevelopment capital programme budget of £464,000 to be funded by a contribution from the earmarked revenue reserves and revenue budgets as detailed in paragraph 4.6;

 

2)    Delegates authority to the Head of Regeneration and Welfare, in consultation with the Leader of the Council, Deputy Leader and Portfolio Holder for Growth and Regeneration, to make any minor amendments to the approved scheme as required during the construction phase.
