of formal consultation on the proposal to enter into the Asset
Transfer of Wollaton Avenue Community Centre to Gedling Play
Forum.

Cabinet adopted a Community Asset Transfer
Policy in October 2015. The aims of the policy are:
•To identify the process and tools that will enable the
successful delivery of a future asset transfer programme.
•To recognise the capacity needs of local groups wishing to
take on local authority assets.
•To ensure a thorough risk assessment of asset transfer is
undertaken.
•To define the legal form a transfer agreement would
take.
The Community Asset Transfer Policy promotes the growth and
resilience of the Voluntary Sector, which in turn supports the
Council's aims to
promote strong, resilient communities, reduce hardship and
inequality, and promote the Health and Wellbeing of our
residents.
A formal Community Asset Transfer request has been received from
the Gedling Play Forum to enter into a long - term lease with
Gedling Borough Council in respect of Wollaton Avenue Community
Centre, one of the Council's portfolio of community centres.
In accordance with the Council's Asset Transfer policy, a decision
is requested from the Portfolio Holder for Corporate Resources and
Performance to publish formal notice of a 6 week period of
consultation on the proposal.
The consultation period will be published in the Evening Post and
notices placed in and around the Wollaton Avenue Community Centre
location.

Nottingham Arnold to hold an open-air Christmas Service on Arnot
Hill Park on Saturday 25th December between 10:00am and
10:45am

with their Christmas Service at Arnot Hill Park on the above dates.
Estimated attendance 70.
This decision is dependent on correct insurance and the issuing of
a user licence agreement indemnifying Gedling Borough Council in
the event of accident for any activities held on the Park
