To give permission for the Friends of KGV Standhill Park to hold their Picnic in the Park community event on KGV Standhill Park on 20th July 2024 between 11am and 3pm.

That the Friends of Valley Road Park be allowed to go ahead with their family fun day event as outlined on the above date. Attendance, est. 100.
This decision is dependent on correct insurance and event risk assessment and will require the issue of a lease indemnifying Gedling Borough Council in the event of accident for any activities held on the recreation ground and to ensure the land is reinstated should any damage occur whilst accessing and exiting the site.

To request approval for the proposed Annual Events Programme 2024/25.

THAT:
1.The Portfolio Holder for Local Pride and Community Engagement approves the Community Events and Activities Programme for 2024/25 as set out in Appendix 1 of this report.
2.The Portfolio Holder for Local Pride and Community Engagement delegates authority to the relevant Corporate Director to cancel any event in response to Government guidance, extreme weather, significant safety concerns or other exceptional circumstances.
