To approve a revised set of Sports Fees and Charges for the Parks and Street Care Service and seeks approval for their introduction from 1 April 2024.

a)To approve the revised Fees and Charges for 2024/25 as detailed in Appendix A.
b)To approve the price revisions to be introduced from 1 April 2024.

The report details a new set of Fees and Charges for the Pet Cremation Service and seeks approval for their introduction from 1 April 2024.

The report details a revised set of Fees and Charges for Waste Services and seeks approval for the introduction from 1 April 2024. It also proposes revised fees and charges specifically for garden waste which would be applicable from 1 April 2025.

a)To approve the revised Fees and Charges for bulky waste, bin change and miscellaneous as detailed in Appendix A. This to be effective from 1 April 2024.
b)To approve the revised Fees and Charges for Garden Waste, as detailed in Appendix A. This to be effective from 1 April 2025.

The purpose of this report is:
1.To seek approval to transfer the Off-Site Open Space Development Contributions received through the Section 106 Agreement dated 13th October 2014 to Ravenshead Parish Council to expend on capital projects which meet the requirements of the Section 106 Agreement;
2.To establish by virement the capital programme budgets for the delivery of Open Space Development projects by the Parish Council, to be funded by Section 106 developer contributions.

To approve:
1) the transfer of the Off-Site Open Spaces Contribution (up to £103,224.00), from the Section 106 Agreement dated 13th October 2014 in relation to the Planning Permission 2013/0836 – Land Known as Cornwater Fields Off Longdale Lane to be spent in accordance with Schedule One of the above Section 106 Agreement.
2)the establishment, by virement, of the capital programme budgets for delivery of Off-Site Open Space development projects to be funded by Section 106 developer contributions as detailed in recommendations 1.

To give permission for Eagles Nest Church to hold a family fun day event in Arnot Hill Park on 1st September from 2pm until 4pm

That Eagles Nest Church (Arnold) be given permission to go ahead with their family fun day as outlined on the above date. Attendance, est. 350
This decision is dependent on correct insurance, H&S documentation for the bouncy castle, food safety certificate for food vendor, event risk assessment, issue of a user licence agreement indemnifying Gedling Borough Council in the event of accident for any activities held on the park and provide evidence of public liability insurance.

To give permission for Eagles Nest Church to hold a joint church service in Arnot Hill Park on 9th June from 9am until 2pm

That the Eagles Nest Church be given permission to go ahead with their joint church service event as outlined on the above date. Attendance, est.350
This decision is dependent on correct insurance and will require the issue of a user licence agreement indemnifying Gedling Borough Council in the event of accident for any activities held on the park and provide evidence of public liability insurance.

To give permission for Southwell Scouts to run orienteering activities at Gedling Country Park on 17th and 18th July from 18:45pm until 20:45pm.

That the Scouts be given permission to run their orienteering activities at Gedling Country Park as outlined on the above dates and times.
This decision is dependent on correct insurance, risk assessment and the issue of a user licence agreement indemnifying Gedling Borough Council in the event of accidents for any activities held on the park.

To give permission for the Jolly Gardener to run a Alice in Wonderland trail in the woodland area adjacent to the Bestwood Lodge Hotel at Bestwood Country Park on 6th May from 12pm midday until 4pm. Set up from 9am and take down by 7pm.

That the Jolly Gardener to go ahead with their Halloween event as outlined on the above dates and times. Attendance, est. 1000.
This decision is dependent on correct insurance and signing a user licence agreement indemnifying Gedling Borough Council in the event of accident for any activities held on the recreation ground and to ensure the land is reinstated should any damage occur whilst accessing and exiting the site.
