Update on recommendations to Committee for Standards in Public Life recommendations PDF 151 KB Report of the Monitoring Officer Additional documents: Minutes: Rosalie Hawkes and Councillor Murray joined the meeting.
The Monitoring Officer introduced a report, which had been circulated in advance of the meeting, to inform members of the Government’s response to the recommendations from the Committee on Standards in Public Life report.

Recruitment of Independent Person PDF 219 KB Report of the Monitoring Officer Minutes: The Monitoring Officer introduced a report, which had been circulated in advance of the meeting, recommending to Council that John Baggaley should be appointed as Independent Person and Stewart Bembridge be appointed as reserve Independent Person.
RESOLVED to:
1) Recommend to Council that John Baggaley be appointed as Independent Person under the Localism Act 2011 for 2 years; and
2) Recommend to Council that Stewart Bembridge be appointed as reserve Independent Person under the Localism Act 2011 for 2 years |

Approval of delegations PDF 138 KB Report of the Monitoring Officer Additional documents: Minutes: The Monitoring Officer introduced a report, which had been circulated in advance of the meeting, seeking approval to amend all current delegations previously approved by Standards Committee following the adoption of the new constitution.
RESOLVED to:
1) Approve the officer delegations at Appendix 1;
2) Approve the Monitoring Officer be authorised to make any other necessary administrative amendments to reflect the change to the constitution |
