The Director of Place introduced a report, which had been circulated in advance of the meeting, asking Members to consider an application for a Street Trading Consent for an Arnold Christmas Market to trade in a consent street in Arnold on Friday 20^th November 2026 10:00hrs until 19:30hrs and on Saturday 21^st November 2026 09:00hrs until 16:00hrs.

Members requested that officers monitor the impact on local businesses.

Officers agreed to relay this to the Economic Development team.

RESOLVED:

1)    To approve the application (Appendix 1) for a Street Trading Consent for an Arnold Christmas Market to trade in a consent street in the location detailed at Appendix 2 to the report in Arnold on Friday 20^th November 2026 10:00hrs until 19:30 hrs and on Saturday 21^st November 2026 09:00hrs until 16:00hrs; and

2)    To depart from Section 4.1 of the Council’s Street Trading Policy (Appendix 3) to allow mobile food businesses to trade under this consent.
