Report of the Assistant Director – Development.

The Assistant Manager – Development introduced a report, which had been circulated in advance of the meeting, briefing Members on proposed legislative changes by the Government and to nominate members of the committee to a Cross-Party Working Group of 9 members to agree the Planning Committee Rules within the Constitution, amend the Planning Committee Protocol and amend the Scheme of Delegation.

RESOLVED:

1)    To note the content of this report and the Government’s proposed planning reforms.

2)    To nominate up to 9 members to a Cross-Party Working Group to consider Planning Committee Rules within the Constitution, proposed amendments to the Planning Committee Protocol and also to the Scheme of Delegation, and to refer those amendments to Council for approval.
