To allow access to the Car Park in order to
carry out the Works.
To approve the licence to allow the Works to
take place within the Car Park.
The licence will allow for an important
upgrade to the telecoms mast to take place.
An alternative would be to not allow use of
the Car Park however, as the Works must be completed this would
force the contractor to use other land for its vehicle set up. The
only other land which could be used is the adopted highway. Vehicle
set up on the adopted highway would cause disruption to traffic in
Arnold Town Centre. Granting the licence is therefore
preferable.
