Reference: D820

Decision Maker: Deputy Chief Executive and Director of Finance

Decision status: Recommendations Approved

Is Key decision?: No

Is subject to call in?: No

Purpose:

To allow the Council to enter into licences to access over land and use it for the storage of plant and equipment in connection with the demolition of the toilet block to the rear of York Street, Netherfield

Decision:

To allow the Council to enter into licences to access over land and use it for the storage of plant and equipment in connection with the demolition of the toilet block to the rear of York Street, Netherfield

Reasons for the decision:

The area around the toilet block has attracted anti-social behaviour and fly tipping over a number of years. Various Council interventions have been largely unsuccessful. It is thought that removal of the toilet block will discourage both the anti-social behaviour and fly tipping.

Alternative options considered:

An alternative would be to not remove the toilet block but this would mean that local residents would still have to contend with anti-social behaviour and fly tipping.
