Purpose:

To give permission for the 4th Carlton Scouts group to hold a Bonfire and Firework event at King George V Recreation Ground, Standhill Road, Carlton, Nottingham on Saturday 3rd November from 19:00 hours until 21:15 hours, setting up to take place throughout the day.

Decision:

That 4th Carlton Scouts be allowed to go ahead with their Bonfire and Fireworks event at King George V Recreation Ground as outlined on the above dates. Attendance is estimated to be 1200 people.
This decision is dependent on the organisers having in place correct insurance and an Event Management Plan approved by Notts Safety Advisory Group and will require the issue of a lease indemnifying Gedling Borough Council in the event of accident for any activities held on the recreation ground and to ensure the land is reinstated should any damage occur whilst accessing and exiting the site.

Reasons for the decision:

To encourage use of the Council’s Parks and Open Spaces
