Purpose:

To serve a Hygiene Emergency Prohibition Order (HEPO)

Decision:

An Hygiene Emergency Prohibition Order was granted by Nottingham Magistrates Court, which was then served on the FBO of a business on Front Street Arnold. This was to prohibit the use of 3 pieces of equipment at the premises.

Reasons for the decision:

The premises open and serving high risk ready to eat products. There was no running hot and cold water to the premises. No ready to use antibacterial cleaning spray or soap detergent for cleaning. No antibacterial soap or hand drying materials, creating a risk of cross contamination of the high risk ready to eat foods with food poisoning bacteria. Therefore presenting an imminent risk to public health. Plus there was no documented food safety management system on site and no paperwork had been received Gedling Borough Council to register the food business
