Purpose:

To give permission for James Mellors Amusements Ltd and Proctors (Nottm) Fun Fairs Ltd, to hold fun fairs on the following dates:
For the annual Carlton Fun Fair from Thursday 28th July to Sunday 31st July 2016.
During the Gedling Show on Sunday 4th September 2016.

Decision:

That James Mellors Amusements Ltd and Proctors (Nottm) Fun Fairs Ltd be allowed to go ahead to provide Fun Fairs on the Richard Herrod Playing Fields as outlined on the above dates.

This decision is dependent on correct insurance and event risk assessment and will require the issue of a lease indemnifying Gedling Borough Council in the event of accident for any activities held on the recreation ground and to ensure the land is reinstated should any damage occur whilst accessing and exiting the site.

Reasons for the decision:

To encourage use of the Council Parks and Open Spaces.

To facilitate the provision of amusement rides for the visitors attending the annual Carlton Fun Fair and Gedling Show and so encourage social cohesion.
