Purpose:

To give permission for the 4th Carlton Scout Group to hold their annual Bonfire and Fireworks Display at King George V Recreation Ground, Standhill Road, Carlton on Saturday 8th November from 7pm until 9:15pm. Activities to include Bonfire, Fireworks and refreshments.

Decision:

That the 4th Carlton Scout Group be allowed to go ahead with their annual Bonfire and Firework Display at KGV Recreation Ground, Carlton as outlined on the above date. Attendance, est. 1200 people.
This decision is dependent on correct insurance and event risk assessment and will require the issue of a lease indemnifying Gedling Borough Council in the event of accident for any activities held on the recreation ground and to ensure the land is reinstated should any damage occur whilst accessing and exiting the site.

Reasons for the decision:

To encourage use of the Council Parks and Open Spaces
