This property forms part of a light industrial park in Calverton. The unit has become available to let as the previous occupier gave notice that they were vacating the property at lease end now leaving it empty.
To grant a new lease as outlined in the attached Heads of terms.

Reasons for the decision:

The property is vacant following lease expiry. By not agreeing to this lease request the property would remain empty not producing an income for the council. We would have to look at re-letting the property to others, taking the usual void and rent free periods into consideration and any marketing costs. There could be a lengthy gap in income generation until a new tenant was secured.
