To give permission for James Mellors Ltd and Proctors (Nottm) Fun Fairs Ltd to hold Annual Fun Fairs on both Killisick Recreation Ground and Richard Herrod Field as follows:

Killisick Recreation Ground:
Thurs 20 and Fri 21 July 2023: 16.30 – 20.30
Sat 22 July 2022: 12.30 – 20.30
Sun 23 July 2022: 12.30 – 18.30

Richard Herrod Centre Playing Fields:
Thurs 27 and Fri 28 July 2023: 16.30 – 20.30
Sat 29 July 2022: 12.30 – 20.30
Sun 30 July 2022: 12.30 – 18.30
There may be additional times for set up and take down (tbc)

Decision:

That James Mellors Amusements Ltd and Proctors (Nottm) Fun Fairs Ltd Annual Fun Fair be allowed to go ahead at Killisick Recreation Ground and Richard Herrod Playing Field as outlined on the above dates.

Attendance, est. 5000 over the operating period.

This decision is dependent on compliance with Health and Safety Regulations, including food hygiene, correct insurance, risk assessment and safety certificate for the inflatables to be used and will require the issue of a user licence agreement indemnifying Gedling Borough Council in the event of accident for any activities held on the recreation ground and to ensure the land is reinstated should any damage occur whilst accessing and exiting the site.

Reasons for the decision:

To encourage use of the Council Parks and Open Spaces
To facilitate the provision of amusement rides for the residents living near to the parks and so encourage social cohesion.
