THAT:
The Portfolio Holder authorises the approval of a Discretionary
Disabled Facilities Grant for circumstances outside the current
policy
The priorities within the current Gedling Plan
include:
•Reducing hardship and provide support to the most
vulnerable
•Improve health and wellbeing
Approving the grant will directly improve the health and wellbeing
for the service users.
The service users have no funds to allocate to
the project as each care for the other and have no extended family
to help out. They both receive universal credit and it is unlikely
that sourcing charitable funding will be successful in obtaining
the funds for the works.
