RESOLVED:

That the minutes of the above meeting, having been circulated, be approved as a correct record and signed by the Chairman.

22 CHAIRMAN'S MEETING/STANDARDS FOR ENGLAND GUIDANCE
RESOLVED:

1. To note the information.

2. That the Head of Democratic and Community Services write to all Parish clerks informing them that Standards Committee Members will visit to discuss any Standards issues.
23 ANY OTHER ITEMS WHICH THE CHAIRMAN CONSIDERS URGENT.
RESOLVED:

To grant applications for dispensations with regard to the applications from Burton Joyce Parish Councillors Hyde, Potter, Cluff, Welton, Johnson, Gale, Huff, Greenfield, Bilan and Hazard to speak and vote at all Burton Joyce Parish Council Committee and Sub-Committee meetings at which the proposal to site wind turbines affecting Burton Joyce is discussed for 4 years from 1 February 2010.
The meeting closed at 5.45pm.

19Apologies for absence were received from Mr Kotak and Mr Proctor.

22The Chairman reported back to the Committee following his meeting with the Chief Executive and Group Leaders of the Borough Council.

It had been agreed that the Chair would meet with the Chief Executive and leaders of the political groups annually and that a Standards Committee Annual Report would be presented to Council.

The Head of Democratic and Community Services submitted details of guidance notes issued by Standards for England on the appointment of independent members and declarations of interest by freemasons.
23A request had been received for dispensation from 10 Parish Councillors to speak and vote for 4 years.
