1An apology for absence was received from Councillor Tait.

4The Head of Planning and Environment reported that the Gambling Act 2005 required Licensing Authorities to prepare and publish at least every three years a statement of the principles that they propose to apply when exercising their gambling functions. Three years had almost passed since the first Gambling Statement for Gedling was produced and a new draft statement had been circulated for consultation.
5The Head of Planning and Environment detailed several changes to the licensing regime introduced by amendments to the Licensing Act 2003.
