RESOLVED:

That, the Members being satisfied that the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information that under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public and press be excluded from the meeting during the consideration of the ensuing reports on the grounds that the report involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 7 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972.

To refuse the application from AM for a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Drivers Licence on the basis that he is not a fit and proper person to hold a licence because of his previous convictions.

To revoke AB's Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Drivers Licence on the basis that he is not a fit and proper person to hold a licence because of his previous convictions.

Having considered the interests of public safety, the Committee resolved that the revocation of the licence would not have immediate effect. AB was given 21 days to surrender his badge.

AB was advised of his right of appeal against the decision of the Committee
