EXCLUSION OF THE PUBLIC AND PRESS

RESOLVED:
That the Members being satisfied that the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information that under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the public and press be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the ensuing report on the grounds that the report involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972.

TO CONSIDER THE APPEAL OF RS AGAINST DISMISSAL FROM THE SERVICE OF THE COUNCIL ON THE GROUNDS OF GROSS MISCONDUCT.

RESOLVED:
To reject the appeal and uphold the decision to dismiss RS on the grounds of gross misconduct.

EARLY RETIREMENT OF SERVICE MANAGER, REVENUE SERVICES.
|
RESOLVED:
1. To note the proposals for the restructure of Revenue Services and subject to a decision being made to dismiss the Service Manager; Revenues Services through early retirement on the grounds of the efficiency of the service;
2. To approve release of the pension benefits described in the report which are based on current salary;
3. To approve a compensatory payment at the maximum discretionary level on the grounds of Efficiency of the Service in accordance with the Councils approved scheme of payments; and to
4. Acknowledge that the discretionary element of the compensatory payments made, may be used by the officer to purchase at no cost to the Council, additional membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme.
