43 TO CONSIDER THE CONFERMENT OF THE TITLE OF HONORARY ALDERMAN OF THE BOROUGH OF GEDLING ON:-
i) Wendy Golland

It was proposed by Councillor Barnfather, seconded by Councillor J Clarke and

RESOLVED that in pursuance of Section 249 of the Local Government Act 1972, the most honourable distinction and title of Honorary Alderman of the Borough of Gedling be conferred upon Wendy Golland in recognition of her eminent service to the Borough Council over a long period of years and as an expression of the high esteem in which she is held by members of the Council and their fellow citizens and that the Council do hereby confer upon.

ii) Bill Peet

It was proposed by Councillor J Clarke, seconded by Councillor Barnfather and

RESOLVED that in pursuance of Section 249 of the Local Government Act 1972, the most honourable distinction and title of Honorary Alderman of the Borough of Gedling be conferred upon Bill Peet in recognition of his eminent service to the Borough Council over a long period of years and as an expression of the high esteem in which he is held by members of the Council and their fellow citizens and that the Council do hereby confer upon.

iii) Ivan Gollop

It was proposed by Councillor J Clarke, seconded by Councillor Barnfather and

It was proposed by Councillor Barnfather, seconded by Councillor Hughes and

RESOLVED that in pursuance of Section 249 of the Local Government Act 1972, the most honourable distinction and title of Honorary Alderman of the Borough of Gedling be conferred upon John Tanner in recognition of his eminent service to the Borough Council over a long period of years and as an expression of the high esteem in which he is held by members of the Council and their fellow citizens and that the Council do hereby confer upon.
