On the motion of Councillor WJ Clarke and seconded by Councillor Barnfather it was RESOLVED:

To approve the reason for non-attendance of Councillor Spencer due to illness thereby avoiding forfeiture of office.
20 CHANGES TO REPRESENTATION ON THE PLANNING COMMITTEE
On the motion of Councillor Allen and seconded by Councillor Creamer it was RESOLVED:

To replace Councillor Quilty with Councillor Hewlett as a representative on the Planning Committee.

15Apologies for absence were received from Councillors Ainley, Blair, Brooks, Glover, Hewson, Nicholson, Powell and Spencer.
17The Mayor thanked all staff involved in arranging the Arnold Carnival which was a well attended and enjoyable event. The Mayor had attended the Queen's visit to Nottingham to represent the Borough. The Mayor had hosted a visit of a school council which proved to be very successful. Finally the Mayor encouraged all present to take part in a sponsored swim that would be taking place in December.
