RESOLVED:
That owing to the significant potential impact on the residents of the Borough and the complexity of the proposals arising from the potential development of the Mapperley Golf Course and associated development sites, this Council endorses the two week extension of the consultation period on the ¡¥Housing Provision Paper¡¦ and ¡¥Locally Distinct Housing Issues for Gedling Borough Council¡¦ (both forming part of the emerging Core Aligned Strategy), the purpose of which is to seek the views of residents and other stakeholders in order that the Council can assess the benefits which could accrue to the whole Borough weighed against any potential impact.

35There were no declaration of interest.
36Moved by Councillor Spencer, seconded by Councillor Barnfather that:-

1. Owing to the significant potential impact on the residents of the Borough and the complexity of the proposals arising from the potential development of the Mapperley Golf Club Site, this Council would wish to extend the consultation period on the ¡¥Housing Provision Paper¡¦ and ¡¥Locally Distinct Housing Issues for Gedling Borough Council¡¦ which form part of the emerging Core Aligned Strategy, until 28th October 2011and call upon the Executive to arrange a Public Open Meeting at which Officers will fully outline details of the proposed new development and/or allow for two days of public open access to Officers at the Civic Centre to allow for public questions regarding such proposals, in order to ensure that a full and thorough consultation, with the Public and all other interested parties, has taken place.

Moved by Councillor Clarke, seconded by Councillor Payne, that the motion be amended as follows:-
