39 THE SPECIAL MEETING IS CALLED TO CONSIDER A RESOLUTION TO CONFER ON THE MERCIAN REGIMENT THE FREEDOM OF ENTRY INTO THE BOROUGH ON ALL CEREMONIAL OCCASIONS WITH COLOURS FLYING AND BAYONETS FIXED AND BAND PLAYING.

RESOLVED:

Unanimously that in appreciation of their outstanding achievements and distinguished record and in recognition of their association with the Borough the Council do confer on the Mercian Regiment the Freedom to enter into the Borough on all ceremonial occasions with colours flying bayonets fixed and band playing.
The meeting closed at 7.55pm.
