161Consideration was given to a report by Councillor T.J. Pepper on his work as the Borough Council representative on the Local Government East Midlands (LGEM) and East Midlands Regional Assembly (EMRA)
162The Chief Executive submitted a consultation paper on proposals for taking forward the Review of Sub National Economic Development and Regeneration, implementing proposals for streamlining regional administrative and strategic planning arrangements and establishing the future basis for the local authority role in economic development.

Members were asked to consider whether they would wish to make any representations to the Government in response to the Consultation paper.

164The Head of Direct Services submitted a report that advised Members of proposed changes to the collection schedules of approximately 17,000 homes in the Borough due to operational difficulties caused by disposal problems.
165The Head of Direct Services submitted a report on the current issues concerning Civil Parking Enforcement within the Borough that would come into effect from 12th May 2008.
166The Head of Strategy and Performance submitted a report that informed members of proposed publicity initiatives planned for coming months.

Reference was also made to the proposal to advertise Council services on the side of refuse freighters.
